Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada Volodymyr Groysman says the Ukrainian Parliament has fulfilled its part of work to implement the European Union's Visa Liberalization Action Plan for Ukraine.

In his Friday interview for the Rada TV Channel, Groysman said: "Now I can said "yes!" [the Verkhovna Rada has done its best to ensure the introduction of visa-free regime for the Ukrainians] and I may add that a number of adopted laws were sent for consideration by respective European institutions. We are now expecting a feedback from our European partners. We may receive certain recommendations touching these laws. However, basically, the Verkhovna Rada has taken all required decisions."

According to the Chairperson of the Verkhovna Rada, "it is now up to our European partners to provide their conclusions."

Groysman also reminded that last week, which "was very hard but fruitful," the Parliament passed not only a number of the draft laws touching the liberalization of the visa regime, but also a number of decisions concerning the development of the economy and combating corruption.

"I believe that all these decisions push us closer to the visa-free regime," he said.
